Football Training Tips – Part III – Dynamic Flexibility

Dynamic Flexibility is a fast paced training drill that is generally taken by coaches on players in the first half of any training session. The players are required to shift balances from left to right and vice-versa in a steady manner.

It has been a known fact that younger players of the game tend to perform better than the veterans when it comes to electrifying passes and free kicks. This is majorly because of their flexibility. In a typical static flexibility exercise a player is required to hold the stretched arm or leg position for few seconds to a minute.

This helps them in building their muscular power that is needed for delivering the punching free kick in the high adrenaline match on the go. The players should look to benefit from the flexibility training in short bursts. Too much inclination towards a set of training schedule can hamper the overall effectiveness of the training program.

Along with the regular training sessions the players should look to benefit from the video training sessions too. Some of the fine set of strategies and training techniques on dynamic flexibility are discussed in these videos. The players can look to engage in the next training session in a far better manner if they benefit from these sessions.

One of the appreciated aspects about these sessions is that these are not time consuming and one can always gain from an advice or two from the best in class coaches on the go. Short and regular spells of flexibility training are highly recommended for the professional players. Apart from keeping them as a part of their warm up exercises they should also look to park it towards the end of the training session too.

This can provide them the apt agility to sustain the high profile match in a streamlined way. Higher flexibility levels are one such differentiating factor between a regular league player and a top class player. They both can be pretty effective in the match against the opponent. Dynamic flexibility soccer training is incomplete if due importance is not given to the static flexibility exercise. However, the one with higher flexibility would always have an edge over the others.
